Spey casting is a casting technique used in fly fishing. Spey casting can be accomplished with either a normal length fly rod, or a rod referred to as a double-handed fly rod, often called a Spey rod. Spey rods can also be used for standard overhead casting.

Take the mystery and frustration out of your quest to become a productive Spey Fisherman. Simple techniques are taught for both sides of the river. Single hand rods, switch rods and double handlers all have a time and place.

Are you a weekday fisherman or a weekend fisherman? Are you targeting 1-2 fish or 10? Weather, water levels, safety up river and down river, and wading verses driftboat will all have an impact on your technique.
